Perusing the Louvre's portraits online one day, as one does, I noticed the extreme size of some of a wig that one of the sitter was wearing and thought, 'wow that looks like a corncob made a wish to become a real human boy!' And voilà, Corn man earrings were born.

Fun facts about those wigs that I found out: 1) that 's where the term 'bigwig' came from (since they adorned the heads of very wealthy and powerful people because, 2)they took at least 10(!) heads of long human hair to make each wig. That's a lot poor people walking around bald so the wealthy could look like crops.

Even better, I've been test-wearing the earring samples around and they've been a big hit with everyone who notices them.

A few details:

These lovely corncob earrings are very lightweight and comfortable: each earring measures about 3 inches from top of the leaf to the bottom of the root are about 1 inch wide.
The yellow corn are opaque, but the blue and red versions are transparent.
The earring posts are titanium, which is nickel free and safe for most people with skin sensitivities.

Sterling silver is used in most of the designs; tarnishing is greatly diminished when stored away from moisture and oxygen.

Standard shipping to addresses located within the United States is free and is sent via United States Postal Service First Class Package Service.

For buyers located outside of the US, we offer subsidized rates through USPS, DHL and UPS.

You can return new, unworn items for any reason within 30 days of purchase for a refund or store credit, minus any original shipping charges.

Items purchased between November 1st and December 25th may be returned by January 25th of the following year.
