Carrots aren't just good for your eyes any more: with these carrot face earrings, now they can now improve your ears' sense of style.
Carrots were cultivated in Persia for five thousand years and only came to Europe in the Middle Ages. The orange that we associate with "normal" carrots were developed by crossbreeding colors of carrots to celebrate the Duke of Orange.
The face of these carrots has a similarly royal lineage: it was inspired by a drawing of a noble by Renaissance artist Hans Holbein. When I saw this fellow's long face, I felt like he'd make a great carrot and so voilà: Carrot Prince!
Show off your love of vegetables at the grocery store with these carrot earrings dangling from your ears.
A few details:
- These carrot earrings come in 2 sizes: the large measure about 3 inches from top of the leaf to the bottom of the root; the small are about 2 inches in length.
- The earring posts are titanium, which is nickel free and safe for most people with skin sensitivities.
- Despite their size, both small and large carrot earrings are very lightweight.
