I named this necklace after Janus (pronounced JAY-niss) because of its two-sided-ness. Janus was an ancient Roman god of gateways, beginnings and endings and duality. (The month of January is named after him.) He is usually depicted with two faces on his head, one on either side. He literally had eyes on the back of his head. Wear this necklace near your heart as a remembrance of the past and hope for the future. Or just wear it because you like how it looks. 

DETAILS

  • The Janus silver and black pendant is made from two pieces of laser-cut acrylic layered on top of one another.
  • The black and silver pendant measures about 1.5 inches across and 2.5 inches lengthwise; the chain is 20 inches long.
  • The chain, clasp and jump rings are sterling silver filled, which makes them safe for most people with sensitive skin. (It's a confusing term, but "filled" means the sterling silver on the outside is filled with something else - in this case stainless steel. It's like plating, but much thicker.)
  • This lovely pendant necklace comes packaged in a little yellow gift box, ready to be gifted or kept for your own lovely self. 
To keep your Darling Marcelle jewelry looking its best, keep it in its original box or a jewelry box when not in use. 
Sterling silver is used in most of the designs; tarnishing is greatly diminished when stored away from moisture and oxygen. 
To clean or polish your jewelry, use a soft cloth and rub gently. 
Perfect for gifting, all Darling Marcelle jewelry comes packaged in a nice gift box, which is packed securely in a padded envelope.

Standard shipping to addresses located within the United States is free and is sent via United States Postal Service First Class Package Service.  
For buyers located outside of the US, we offer subsidized rates through USPS, DHL and UPS. 

You can return new, unworn items for any reason within 30 days of purchase for a refund or store credit, minus any original shipping charges.

Items purchased between November 1st and December 25th may be returned by January 25th of the following year.
