These green veggie earrings were inspired by one of the most celebrated women artist in France in the early 1800s - Antoinette Cecile Hortense Haudebourt-Lescot.
As a child of just ten, she already was so skilled that a neoclassical history painter took her on as his student. When she debuted at the Paris Salon with 8 works showing life in Italy, she was rewarded by the Duchess of Berry who named Haudebourt-Lescot as her personal painter.
It was very uncommon to be a professional artist as a woman in this era, but Haudebourt-Lescot was an exceptional person.

A few details:
- These Lady Lettuce earrings come in 2 sizes: the large measure about 2.5 inches from top of the leaf to the bottom of the chin; the small are about 1.5 inches.
- Each earring is individually hand-painted before being sealed with a clear varnish, so each one is unique.
- The earring huggies are silver plated and nickel free; safe for most people with skin sensitivities.
- These earrings are really lightweight - even the large.

Standard shipping to addresses located within the United States is free and is sent via United States Postal Service First Class Package Service.
For buyers located outside of the US, we offer subsidized rates through USPS, DHL and UPS.
You can return new, unworn items for any reason within 30 days of purchase for a refund or store credit, minus any original shipping charges.
Items purchased between November 1st and December 25th may be returned by January 25th of the following year.
