Introducing the Heart of Snakes Pin, featuring two snakes embraced in a way that makes a heart of their bodies. The Latin word for love - AMOR -is written in the blank space between them.
The design of the snakes was inspired by medieval marginalia, meaning the drawings that monks would doodle in the margins of their manuscripts. I liked the addition of the Latin word for love because it further references the original source material - some lonely robed fellows drawing and writing in Latin in their drafty monasteries.
